They made it ...

Thursday, March 6, 1997 ...

Dennis and Tami arrived Thursday afternoon after a 9.5 hour drive from Bend (Oregon). (Click here to see a full size copy of the picture above.) Tami gave Marilyn a call and we planned to meet at the Pruneyard (in Campbell, CA) for dinner. We had dinner at a new place in the Pruneyard call The Rock Bottom Brewing Company. The brewskies were tasty and the food was fine. The place is very busy and pretty noisy. Nice looking interior.

The Rock Bottom is located at 1875 South Bascom Avenue / No. 700
Campbell, CA 95008

Friday, March 7, 1997 ...

Friday was a good day. Marilyn and Tami took care of some personal business, and then did a little shopping. They enjoyed their day together. Bepp and I headed for breakfast in Burlingame. That can only mean one destination ... Nini's! Spicy country patty sausage and mushroom omletes ... american cheese, onions only on the potatoes, and sour dough bread. It does not get better than this!

Next stop was the Shoreline Golf Links in Mt. View. Our tee time was 1045. I played as well as I ever have, and Bepp was crunching the ball and generally having a good time as well.

Friday evening we had dinner at Palermo. As we arrived, we met Mark and Judy McEuen. We all said "Hello" and then we went on in. Those in attendance for the evening were:

  • Dennis and Tami Neveras ... we celebrated Tami's birthday one week early!
  • Mark and Judy McEuen
  • Corrie Neveras
  • Jerry "Bo" Josephson and his wonderful neighbor Lynn
  • Kurt and Imelda Diltz

    Saturday, March 8, 1997 ...

Tami and Marilyn went shopping in downtown Willow Glen. They walked from our house and spend a couple of hours wandering around and taking time for lunch. Bepp headed for the Santa Clara Tennis and Golf course to try and get on as a single. He was shut out in the early morning, but finally got on around 1130. The bad news was it took 3.5 hours to get in only 9 holes. Bummer.

There is more to this story, but I do not have the copy ready yet. All of the Neveras kids (sans Sandy) took Mom to dinner at El Burro's in The Pruneyard. More news and pictures to follow ...

    Sunday, March 9, 1997 ...

Bepp and O headed home. They arrived back in Bend about 1545. We are looking forward to seeing them again when we visit Bend in May.
